11th Cooking Competition Held to Mark
the Day of the Shining Star
The 11th Cooking Competition for marking the Day of the Shining Star took place at the Pyongyang Noodle House from February 12 to 14.
Attending the competition were cooks and waiters and waitresses selected among different units and officials.
There took place a cooking and beverage-making competition, exhibition of dishes peculiar to relevant units and demonstration of excellent cooks.
The demonstration of the excellent cooks selected among several units including Okryu Restaurant, Pyongyang Koryo Hotel and Taesong District Restaurants Managing Office gave deep impression to the visitors.
At the closing ceremony held on February 14 the units and performers that proved successful were awarded certificates of merit, medals and diplomas.
Meanwhile, similar competitions took place at famous restaurants in every province including Haeju, South Hwanghae Province and Chongjin, North Hamgyong Province, amidst the expectations of the working people.
