Orders in Celebration of War Victory
Displayed in the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum are two orders signed by President Kim Il Sung during the war to celebrate the great victory of the heroic Korea.
The Order of the Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army No. 470, signed in July 1953 reviews the brilliant victory gained by the Korean People’s Army and the Korean people in smashing the armed invasion by the imperialists and clarified that we should have confidence that we would surely annihilate the imperialists if they provoked another aggressive war.
In the last part of the order, the President gave an order that 124 guns shall fire 24 salvos each in Pyongyang, the capital of the country, in celebration of victory in the war.
Order No. 0389 of the KPA Supreme Commander, signed on August 1, 1953, is related to holding a military parade for a splendid celebration of heroic Korea’s great victory in war.
